  • Butter, 3 tbsp.
  • All-purpose Flour, 3 tbsp.
  • Salt, 2 tsp.
  • Pepper, ¼ tsp.
  • Milk, 3 cups
  • Potatoes, 6 cups (thinly sliced)
Preparation: Melt some butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Then, stir in some flour into it and whisk till it smoothens, and turns slightly bubbly in texture. Add some salt and pepper while you stir the mixture. Then, add some milk and stir till the preparation becomes thick. Add potatoes to this saucy mixture. Cover the preparation and let it cook for at least 8 minutes. Then, transfer this mixture into a greased baking dish. The size of the dish can be approximately 12x8 inches.   • Onion, ¾ cup (chopped)
  • Butter or Margarine, 3 tbsp.
  • All-purpose Flour, ¼ cup
  • Chicken Broth, 1¾ cups
  • Mayonnaise, 2 tbsp.
  • Salt, ¾ tsp.
  • Pepper, ⅛ tsp.
  • Paprika, for garnishing
Preparation: Take a greased baking dish and layer the potatoes and onions in it. Then, melt some butter in a saucepan and stir some amount of flour in it. Let this mixture smoothen and once it does, you can add the broth very slowly to this. Add some mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Cook this preparation till it turns thick and stir the mixture for around 2 minutes. Then, pour this mixture over the potatoes. Gently sprinkle some amount of paprika over it. Cover the preparation and bake it at 325° F, for 2 hours. Serve it hot. With Cheddar Cheese Ingredients
  • Potatoes, 4
  • Milk, 3 cups
  • Cheddar Cheese, 1 cup (shredded)
  • Onion, 1 (chopped)
  • Garlic Powder, 1
  • Oregano, for garnishing
Preparation: Slice the potatoes into very thin circles. Slice the onions into thin strips. Then, make an alternate layer of potatoes and cheddar cheese along with a dash of spices and onions. Repeat this procedure till the casserole gets filled up to at least ¾ level. Top this with some amount of cheese. Pour milk in the casserole till it gets filled up to at least ½ of the height of the vessel. Bake this at around 350° F, for 1½ hours. Cook till it turns tender. Once cooked, let it set for a period of 10 minutes and then serve it warm. With Milk and Onions Ingredients
  • Potatoes, 6 (sliced)
  • Milk, 2½ cups
  • Flour, 3 tbsp.
  • Butter, 3 tbsp.
  • Cheddar Cheese, 1 cup (grated)
  • Onion, ½ cup (chopped)
Preparation: Preheat the oven to 375° F. Then, spray the glass dish with some non-stick spray. Place the potato slices along with the chopped onions in it. Melt the butter and mix it with flour over a medium heat. Then, remove the pan away from heat and add the milk slowly with constant stirring. More flour and butter can be added to thicken this mixture. Add the cheese and stir the mixture till it melts. Pour the sauce over the potato and place this in the oven, covered for around 30 minutes. Then, remove the cover and let it cook for around 60 minutes. Once it gets cooked thoroughly, let it set for at least 20 minutes, and then serve it warm.
