Choose one of those glass jars that comes with a flared neck. Check to see if the glass jar you have chosen fits inside the sconce frame. If it does, then clean the glass jar in soapy water and remove and sticky labels. Allow the jar to dry, then paint it with glass paint in a color of your choice. Once the shells are dry, plan the placement of the shells over the conical metallic sconce. Make sure that no gaps on the surface of the sconce can be seen after you have placed them. Once you have the placement of the shells figured, adhere the shells on the sconce by using epoxy. Use industrial strength epoxy so that the shells adhere to the surface of the sconce securely. Now adhere the petals on the rim of the sconce, making sure that there are no gaps in between. If you see any gaps, then glue additional silk petals over the sconce so that they overlap each other. Continue adding more silk petals on the sconce so that the entire sconce is covered. Your beautiful silk petal sconce is ready and all you need to do is place it inside the sconce frame and arrange fresh or artificial flowers in it. You can use both fresh flowers and artificial flowers to place inside the wall sconce.
