Finger Sandwich Recipes

Finger sandwiches are a popular snack at the tea parties. This article presents some easy-to-make recipes for a delightful tea party.

Sandwich is a popular food item that consists of one or more layers of filling in two or more slices of bread. It contains a combination of vegetables, cheese, meat, and various sauces. Finger sandwiches are the small in size, and are served as appetizers or cocktail snacks. They are the favorite snacks at the tea parties. This sandwich is called 'finger sandwich' because it is cut into small finger-like strips. They are generally 1-2" in width and 4-5" in length. They are so small in size that they can even be eaten using only the fingers. It is another reason that they are named so. These sandwiches are usually made from white bread with some unique fillings such as chicken salad, cheese paste, veggie or meat paste, egg salad, or thin slices of cucumber. The sandwiches are cut into thin, long strips. Sometimes they are cut into small triangles. Generally, the pimento cheese paste sandwiches are cut in small triangles, while sandwiches containing cucumber slices are often finger-shaped. Very rarely, they are cut into some unusual shapes such as flowers or circles, which offer more decorative look. Following are a few recipes: Regular Sandwich Ingredients
