Algeria, Lithuania, Tanzania, and Uganda have billionaires for the first time ever. 66% billionaires built their own fortunes, 21% inherited wealth and then added to it to become billionaires, while 13% simply inherited billions and joined the exclusive club.

She has taken back the number 1 spot this year, largely due to the shares she owns in First Solar, which have jumped nearly 50% in value since 2013. Christy is also one of the highest charity donors among women around the world. The Walton family is believed to possess a cumulative net worth that is well over $100 billion.
Even though Liliane's wealth swelled in the past year, she still lost her top spot this time to Christy Walton.
