At 29,035 feet, Mount Everest is the tallest, and undoubtedly, one of the most dangerous mountains to scale. It is named after Sir George Everest, the Surveyor General of India back in the past. Almost 2000 people have reached the summit of this 60-million-year-old mountain over the past 60 years.
But, don't jump at assuming that Everest is an easy, or even a manageable climb. With 18 deceptive climbing routes guarded by avalanches and breathtaking (quite literally so) altitudes, Mount Everest lives up to the expectations of any climbing enthusiast.
