  1. First of all, cut the banana slices diagonally with the help of the chip slicer. In case you are using a regular kitchen knife, then cut the banana into uniformly thick diagonal slices (about ⅛-inch thickness).
  2. In a large sauce pan, take some iced salted water. To this, add the banana slices and turmeric powder. Let the slices remain in water for about 10 minutes.
  3. After the banana slices soak the salt and turmeric, drain the water completely. Next, place the slices on a clean kitchen cloth to remove the excess moisture.
  4. Thereafter, heat the coconut or vegetable oil in a thick skillet till it is hot enough. Then, add the banana slices in one layer and fry for about 2 minutes or till the chips appear a little crunchy.
