Garlic butter has a unique taste to it. You can use it to make pasta, or even as a topper for crackers. Many people also use a dollop of it in the soup, as it greatly enhances the taste of the hot soup. Given below are two recipes that are simple to follow. Ingredients

  • Garlic, 1 or 2 cloves
  • Italian Seasoning (optional)
  • Parmesan Cheese (optional)
Preparation Step #1 Leave the butter in the heat for some time till it softens. It is important to soften it beforehand as it becomes easier to make the garlic butter with soft butter. Step #2 Peel the papery cover off the cloves of garlic. Cut a tiny portion of the ends off. Now chop the garlic well. Step #3 Take the butter into a stirring bowl. Add the chopped garlic to it. Mix the two well. Grate the Parmesan cheese and add the Italian seasoning over the mix and stir well again. Preparation This is a slightly different recipe from the standard garlic butter, as this one requires you to roast the garlic beforehand. The first step here is to preheat the oven to 450°F. Wrap the garlic bulb in an aluminum foil and bake the garlic for about 20 minutes. After baking the garlic, remove it from the aluminum foil and pull out all the individual cloves and follow the same steps mentioned above. Garlic butter, like I said can be used to 'spice up' a lot of food items. But mind you, garlic butter may not be the healthiest thing to go with your bread. Calories in butter are too many for you to have if you're on a diet. You could use a variety of butter that is low in calories if you are a health fanatic.
