The very first thing that you need to do is to make a list of things that you have to take with you to the trek or the camp. Given below are two such lists that you may find useful, one each for RV and backpacking camping. RV camping This section refers to camping in all sizes of recreational vehicle. There are a few things that are needed to be checked a few days before the departure, like checking the weather of the place where you are about to go for RV camping. Also, there must be an emergency contact number in the wallet of each person with you. The other things that are to be taken in your wallet are travelers' checks, credit/debit cards, and cash. Following are the general camping items that are to be taken along with you. General Camping Supplies List:

  • Compass
  • GPS tracking devices (if possible)
  • Mobile (fully charged), with a charger
  • Weather radio
  • First aid kit
  • Sunscreen
  • Folding chairs
