Tropical drinks are generally relished during holidays or on the beaches. Learn to make them at home through this article on tropical drink recipes.
- Dark rum, 2 oz.
- Triple sec, 2 oz.
- Light rum, 2 oz.
- Grenadine, 1 oz.
- Orgeat syrup, 1 oz.
- Lime juice, 1 oz.
- Pineapple and cherry, garnish
- Combine all the ingredients in a shaker, along with ice. In a highball or any of the old-fashioned glasses, serve this drink on the rocks.
- For garnishing, cut pineapple wedges and cherry. If you do not have homemade Orgeat syrup, you can use a store-brought mix instead.
- It can also replace grenadine and lime juice.
- Strawberry-kiwi fruit drink, 12 oz.
- Spiced rum, 1 oz.
- Bacardi, 1 oz.
- Peach schnapps, 1 oz.
- Add all the ingredients in a blender along with a fist full of ice.
- Blend until thick. Your tropical storm is ready!
- Serving is as important as the drink, so serve in pink or similar frosted mugs with a dash of grenadine over the top.
- To make it more 'tropical', add a big strawberry and peeled kiwi fruit on the top.
- Cherry/maraschinos, 1 whole
- Pineapple, 1 slice
- Pineapple juice, 2 oz.
- Cream of coconut, 1 oz.
- Curacao blue, 1 oz.
- Rum (light), 1 oz.
- Ice, 1 cup
- Mix all the ingredients in a stirrer or cocktail shaker.
- Pour into an old-fashioned or unusual-shaped glass and add ice.
- For decorations, put the whole cherry along with the pineapple on the top.
- Small banana, 1
- Coconut cream, 2 oz.
- Fresh or frozen strawberries, 2 oz.
- Unsweetened pineapple juice, 2 oz.
- Light rum, 1 oz.
- Coconut rum, 1 oz.
- Pour the two rums, strawberries, and ½ oz. of the coconut cream into a blender and blend until a smooth paste is formed.
- Pour the paste into a tall glass and rinse the blender. Now, put the remaining coconut cream, banana, pineapple juice, and crushed ice into the blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour this mixture into the glass. The effect will be like that of a lava.
- The strawberry will rise upward flowing along the sides of the glass, just like a lava.
- For garnishing, use a pineapple wedge and the classic paper umbrella.
