  • Fresh shrimp (Shelled and without tails) - 1½ pounds

  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp.
  • Salt - 1 tbsp.
  • Pepper - 1 tbsp.
Directions Boil water in a saucepan. Add a pinch of salt to this water. Then, add the cooking grits and allow it to cook on a low flame for at least 5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the flame and pour the garlic cheese in it. Allow the cheese to melt. Next, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat in a skillet. Add the shrimp to it and allow it to cook till its color changes to pink. Add the tomato and allow it to cook well. Then, add the salt and pepper and take it off the flame. For adding a finishing touch, spread the cheese grits on a warm platter and spread the shrimp mixture on top. Recipe 2 Ingredients

  • Cheddar cheese - ¼ cup
  • Butter - 1½ tbsp.
  • Hot sauce - 4 tbsp.
  • Shrimp (medium-sized) - 1 pound
  • Salt - ¼ tsp.
  • Bacon slices - 2
  • Chopped green onions - ½ cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
  • Leaf parsley (chopped) - 1 tbsp.
  • Hot Sauce (extra)
Directions First cook the grits. After they have been cooked, add the butter, cheese, and hot sauce to it and mix them well. Keep this whole mixture aside and ensure that you cover it with a lid. Peel the shrimp and apply salt and hot sauce evenly on its surface. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium to high heat for 5 to 7 minutes. It should become crispy. Then crumble it. In another skillet, add the green onions and shrimp and allow them to cook till the color of the shrimp changes to pink. Add some lemon juice to it. This completes the procedure.   • Shrimp (peeled) - 1½ pounds
  • Cooking grits - 1½ cup
  • Chicken stock - 1 cup
  • Cheddar cheese - 1 cup
  • Scallions (thinly sliced) - ½ cup
  • Green bell peppers (chopped) - ¼ cup
  • Bacon (chopped) - 6
  • Lemon juice - 3 tbsp.
  • Unsalted butter - 2 tbsp.
  • Salt - 2 tbsp.
  • Garlic clove (minced) - 1
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1
  • Hot pepper sauce
Directions Apply the hot pepper sauce and lemon juice to the shrimp evenly. Place it aside. In a saucepan, take some water and add a pinch of salt. Add the grits to it. Allow it to cook for 30 to 40 minutes on a low flame. Keep stirring it as it cooks. In a skillet, fry the bacon till its color changes to brown. Add the green pepper, onion, and garlic to it, and allow it to cook for 5 minutes. Then, add the scallions, put some flour over the mixture, and continue to cook it for 5 more minutes. Next, add the stock and salt and continue with the cooking. After five minutes, remove it from the heat. After the grits become creamy and thick, add butter to it. Also add the pepper and salt to taste. Again, allow it to heat for a sufficient amount of time before serving. These recipes are tasty and very popular.
