According to the scriptures pride is one of the seven cardinal sins. It has been mentioned several times in the Bible. So, what does the Bible say about pride? The following article mentions some verses in the Bible, which will answer this question.
Out of all the sins, pride is the one that is the root of them all. The Bible warns people about pride repeatedly. It says that God particularly hates pride and he is completely against it. His coming will humble all pride...regardless of the heart where it is hidden.
God's prophet Isaiah lets all people see how God perceives pride:
- "Cursed are those who seem wise to themselves, and who take pride in their knowledge!" Isaiah 5:21
