Method Heat a little vegetable oil in a frypan, and add the onion, pepper, and garlic to it. Fry briefly over high heat until tender. Add the kidney beans, 1 cup of water, oregano leaves, vinegar, soya sauce, and salt. Bring it to a boil, and then simmer until done. Alongside boil the remaining 1¼ cups water in a saucepan and cook the rice for about 10 minutes. When both rice and beans are cooked, mix them and serve. 2. Tropical Rice Ingredients

  • Rice, 1 cup
  • Coconut (grated), ½ cup
  • Ginger, 2 teaspoons (crushed)
  • Butter, 1 tablespoon
  • Mango chutney, 2 tablespoons

Method Heat the water, rice, coconut, ginger, butter, salt, and mango chutney in a frypan, and bring the mixture to a boil. Stir, cover, reduce the heat, and simmer for around 20 minutes or until well-cooked. 3. Asian Rice Ingredients
