BBQ Side Dishes
A barbecue party is incomplete until you serve delicious BBQ side dishes to complement the grilled recipes. You can also prepare some of these delicious recipes and turn your regular meal serving into a special treat.
- Sweet corn, 4 ears
- Butter, 1 stick (unsalted, softened)
- Basil, 4 teaspoons (chopped)
- Parsley, 4 teaspoons (chopped)
- Oregano, 4 teaspoons (chopped)
- Lemon zest, 1 teaspoon
- Salt, ¼ teaspoon
- In a mixing bowl, combine together all the butter, basil, parsley, oregano, lemon zest, and salt. Mix well and transfer into a small bowl. Refrigerate this butter mixture, until it becomes firm.
- Grill the corn as you usually do, making sure that all the sides are cooked well. This may take about 20-25 minutes.
- Place the barbecued corns in a serving platter.
- Remove the chilled herb butter from the refrigerator and make slices out of it. Serve the hot corn with this flavored butter.
- Chicken, 2 cups (cooked, chopped)
- Tomatoes, 6-8
- Havarti cheese, 8 slices
- Pesto, ⅓ cup
- Salt, ½ teaspoon
- Black pepper, ¼ teaspoon
- Start a grill and maintain medium low heat.
- Prepare the tomatoes by cutting off the tops and removing the seeds. Keep them aside in a tray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine together the chicken pieces, pesto, salt, and pepper.
- After mixing, fill this chicken mixture in the tomatoes. Grill the stuffed tomatoes for about 20 minutes. Carefully, remove them from the grill and add one slice Havarti cheese in each of them.
- Return the nearly cooked tomatoes to the grill and heat until the cheese starts melting.
