It needs a lot of patience and yes, it is a time-consuming activity. Initially you would be required to hold your child's hand and teach him/her to write the alphabets correctly. Once your child gets the hang of it and is comfortable writing on his/her own, you can consider preparing worksheets to keep your child occupied. After phrases comes sentences, allow your child to practice writing sentences, you would have to designate extra space for the same. We suggest you use a ruled book for the exercise. You can write a sentence in the book and ask your child to copy it over and over again till the sentence is memorized and the handwriting neat as you want it to be.
