Umami Cheese Fondue
This is one of the easiest fondue fountain ideas that you can try your hands on. Trust me, if we can make it, you can do it better. To make the perfect fondue, you will need a fondue pot and spears. Since, it needs to be on the flame, a vessel of the same purpose, would be appropriate to use, instead of a substitute. Get ready and get started.
Ingredients Garlic cloves, halved, 2 Dry white wine, 500 ml Gruyere cheese, shredded, 225 g Emnenthaler cheese, shredded, 225 g Lemon juice, 15 ml Flour, 30 ml Kirsch, 45 ml Nutmeg, 2 ml Paprika, 2 ml Pepper, as per taste Directions Rub the fondue pot with garlic. The garlic is only used for its aroma. Now, pour the lemon juice and the white wine, in the pot and switch on the burner. Just warm the liquids up, without boiling. Reduce the heat, if it start to boil. Add the shredded cheese (both the types) and stir it well with a wooden spoon, till it's one. Now add the remaining ingredients and once again mix it well. If your fondue is losing its thick consistency, add a little cheese. If it gets too thick, then add a little wine. Serve this fondue with diced vegetables or bread, to get the best aftertaste, of the soft, creamy cheese.
Delicious Chocolate Fondue
Chocolates are great aphrodisiacs and an all-time hit amongst kids too.
Ingredients Water, 125 ml Dark chocolate, 250 g Milk chocolate, 100 g Cream, 300 ml Large marshmallows, 10 Assorted chocolate dippers Directions Boil some water in a fondue pot, just to get it thoroughly wet. Once, the pot is wet, discard the water. Pour the cream in a saucepan and heat it, without boiling it. Add the dark chocolate and the milk chocolate to the cream. Stir it well, till the mixture becomes one. Now, add the marshmallows and stir the mixture. Serve this chocolate fondue with the assorted dippers such as whole strawberries, grapes, oranges, apple slices, pound cake slices, donuts, whole cherries or croissants.
Ambrosial Meat Fondue
Meat fondue are also known as oil fondue, since all types of meat are cooked together in heated oil in a fondue pot.
Ingredients Chicken breast, skinless and boneless, 200 g/person Peanut or canola oil, 500 ml Breadcrumbs, 1 cup Garlic powder, 5 ml Red chili pepper, 5 ml Dried basil, 5 ml Dried oregano, 5 ml Parmesan cheese, 15 ml Eggs, 2 Salt and pepper, as per taste Directions Cut the chicken breast into 1 inch cubes, or get them cut from a butcher as cutting raw animal flesh can be a tough task. Combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, chili pepper, basil, oregano, and salt and pepper in a big bowl. In another bowl, break the eggs and beat them until they are frothy. Dip every piece of chicken in the eggs and then immediately roll them in the mixture of breadcrumbs. Dip and coat the chicken dices and let them marinate for a while. Meanwhile, heat 2/3 of oil in a fondue pot. Shallow fry the chicken cubes in the fondue pot. Once fried, remove them in another bowl and add the desired sauce on top of it. Fondue is very easy to make if you have the right equipment. The best part about fondue is that you can get children to eat the much detested fruits and veggies.
