For our third project, we are going to make delicate butterfly wings. Take the thick, color paper and draw a butterfly on it. Be creative with your drawing; you can see any pictures of butterflies for inspiration. Just make 1 set of wings, instead of 2 (2 big wings on top and 2 small bottom wings). Take the scissor and cut the butterfly very carefully. Glue the cutting onto the cardboard and cut the extra edges as well. Take a marker to put dots on the wings (above the shoulder) and under the arms. Punch holes going inside these dots and insert the elastic band through it. Use the glitter glue pens and color markers to draw creative designs on the butterfly. Once it is ready, have the kid test it.
With only a handful of materials, which can be easily found in craft stores, you can make inexpensive art for and with kids. Enjoy these fun family times together as it will help your kids become more artistic.
