Black Comedians on Comedy Central

Comedians are some of the most famous people in the world. This article pays respect to all those wonderful individuals who made us smile and laugh whenever life had pulled us down.

'You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the US of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named "Bush", "Dick" and "Colon". Need I say more?' ~ Chris Rock. Making someone laugh looks very easy, but trust me, it's not that simple. Your joke may be funny to someone, but at the same time someone else may get offended by it. You just can't keep hurting people's feelings, because that could put you in a tight spot. However, comedians are an exception. They crack so many jokes about all the issues in the world that no one feels left out, or exceedingly aggravated. Let's have a look at some of the most famous black comedians. Bill Cosby Bill Cosby is someone who was loved beyond the racial divide. He captured the audience's mind with his show, The Cosby Show. I don't remember missing a single episode of that laugh-riot. Bill Cosby was the god of stand-up comedy, period! Richard Pryor He's one man who has lived the archetypical life of a superstar. Always in the news for all the wrong reasons, Richard Pryor (1940-2005) was always in people's eyes for all the wrong reasons. Most of the problems that he suffered were from drugs. Until I turned 17 I wasn't allowed to watch his comic acts. He was a genius, no one has been able to swear like he does. Unfortunately, the younger generation of today hasn't heard much about―or of―him, but he definitely deserves a spot on this list. Bernie Mac One of the best black comedians of all time, hands down. I used to adore and respect him a lot, and like everybody, I was shocked and saddened by his sudden death. He has done some great standup, and was highly respected and admired in the world of comedians. Eddie Murphy The only man in the world who could wear that red leather jumpsuit and still look cool. Eddie Murphy just had to feature in this list. He became a household name with SNL. His movies were also some of the best comedy movies ever. His standup gig in RAW and various other gigs were offensive and angered many people, but I have to admit that some of his statements were socially acceptable. Nevertheless, Eddie Murphy is no doubt one of the greatest comedians of all time. I hope this article brought back some old memories, and a smile to your lips.
