The twelve zodiac signs are divided among four elements, namely, water, air, earth, and fire. Each of these elements play a critical role in determining an individual's traits.

Aries, a cardinal sign, is symbolized by the horns of the ram. People born under this sign are inquisitive and need to know everything that is within their reach. They are spontaneous and have very good leadership qualities, and hence motivate every person they meet. Aries love to be the first to take up any opportunity coming their way. They actually believe and practice in the saying, 'Actions speak louder than words'. Hence they are doers rather than talkers. Extremely expressive and egoistic, Arians are self-centered, but not selfish. They are impatient, aggressive, and ignorant to others needs, but unintentionally and innocently, like a child. Arians do not hold a grudge against people, not even those who have hurt them, and follow the virtues - forgive and forget. Short-tempered at times, they cool down no sooner than they burst out in anger, and are even quicker to apologize. Arians get along with the Leos and Sagittarians, but not with Scorpios and Virgos.
Taurus is a fixed sign represented by a bull, and symbolizes a muscular body with sharp horns. People born under this sign are often well-built, just like the animal associated with the sign. They are mentally and physically strong. Associated with toughness, they possess immense stamina and willpower. Romantic at heart, Taureans are materialistic, desiring lavish living and loving things in grand style. They are calm and composed and prefer staying away from huge crowds. They speak less, and to the point only. Taureans are patient and do not run after opportunities. They wait for the best opportunity that comes their way. Multitasking is in their blood and they are extremely efficient in simultaneously doing many things at a time. People are often surprised by the versatility that Geminis possess. People love to bond with a Gemini, who is witty. They are generally easily identifiable in a crowd. A Gemini performs every task swiftly and is highly indecisive. They can switch over between emotions very quickly and is thereby considered to always be on the move. People born under Libra and Aquarius are compatible with a Gemini. Scorpios and Capricorns are, however, considered to be least compatible with a Gemini.
