Aconcagua (South America) Aconcagua is located in the Andes range in Argentina. It stands at 6,961 meters (22,838 ft). Though considered the easiest to climb with respect to severity of route, the climatic conditions are one of the most severe. Battling these remains the biggest challenge for most climbers. Mount McKinley (North America) Mount McKinley is the tallest mountain in North America. It looks like a huge mass of snow and can be seen from almost 150 miles away. It stands at 6,194 meters (20,322 ft). It is considered the biggest attraction at Denali National Park and Preserve. Kilimanjaro (Africa) Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro actually a massive, extinct volcano. It stands at 5,895 meters (19,341 ft). The summit has a tundra-like atmosphere. It is also the highest free-standing mountain globally. Mount Elbrus (Europe) In Europe, Mount Elbrus is the tallest peak. It stands at approximately 5,642 meters (18,510 ft). It is believed to originally be a volcanic mountain, which is now extinct. It is snow-capped throughout the year; you can see numerous glaciers coming down its slopes. Vinson Massif (Antarctica) This mountain stands at 4,892 meters (16,050 ft) . It is stretches almost thirteen miles in length and eight miles in width. The weather makes ascent to this mountain very difficult. Mount Kosciuszko (Australia) Standing 2,228 meters (7,310 ft) tall, Mount Kosciuszko is the tallest mountain in Australia. Located in the Australian Alps, it has a rocky terrain and receives moderate rainfall and snow during winters. Fascinatingly tall, aren't they?
