Tissue Paper Crafts
Making art objects with tissue paper is fun, and you can make them with very few supplies. The following article describes some of the ideas for making tissue paper crafts.
- Small hole punch
- Decoupage solution
- Colorful tissue paper
- Transparent plastic lid
- Thin wire
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Cardboard paper
- You can make this type of key chain in different patterns and shapes. You can go for a key chain in the shape of a butterfly, or a simple flower. Draw the shape on cardboard.
- Cut the cardboard in the required shape with scissors.
- Staple the pattern onto the plastic lid from all the sides. The pattern should fit on the plastic lid surface.
- Cut the edges of the plastic lid to make a plain flat surface, and cut out excess plastic, if any.
- Make a small hole at the top of the plastic with the help of punch.
- Take colorful tissue papers and tear them to form small pieces of ¾ inches. Apply decoupage solution to the cardboard layer of the plastic. Spread the small pieces over the decoupage solution. Try to make overlapping patterns that will suit. Also, spread the solution over the tissue paper and leave the assembly to dry. Once the gum solution dries completely, trim off the excess paper towards the edges.
- Attach a thin wire through the hole at the top.
- Tie the wire twice. Your key chain is ready.
- Wiggly eyes
- Tissue papers - white and yellow (or any other color of your choice)
- Ball-shaped lollipop
- Red ribbon
- Scissors
- Marker
- Cotton ball
- Cut out a round circle from the colored tissue. The diameter of this circle should be twice the height of the lollipop. Take the white tissue and cut out a circle having half the diameter of the circle you had cut previously.
- Take the lollipop and drape the colored paper over it; then drape the white one over the colored one. Take a ribbon and tie it around the paper where the lollipop is connected to the stick. This makes the neck and face of the fairy.
- Draw the eyes and mouth of the fairy with a marker. Glue the wiggly eyes where you marked the eyes.
- To make the fairy's wings, take some colored tissue paper and draw a butterfly shape. Cut it out.
- Take a cotton ball and color it with black marker for the hair.
- Stick the wings behind the fairy. You can decorate these wings with glitter or sequins. Stick the colored cotton ball to the top of the lollipop with some glue. Add some glitter to make it look like hair, and your fairy is ready.
- Tissue papers of different colors
- Rubber band
- Here we are going to make flowers out of tissues in origami style. Lay down the paper one on top of the other.
- Start folding them in a fan style (accordion-style) from one end.
- Once you have folded the papers, tie a rubber band at the middle of the folded strip.
- Lay this folded strip on the table, and start fanning both the ends of the paper.
- Lift the tissue papers gently and separate them from one another. Fluff them to the center of the strip, one layer at a time.
- Once you are done with all the layers, you will get your tissue paper origami flowers. To make some design variations, you can trim the edges of the papers in the end.
