It is cute and cuddly, and lies quietly in a corner. It doesn't mind being pulled by its ears or swung around with its limbs. It just looks at you with eyes filled with love and concern that always goes unmatched. You can blame it for all the mischief you do when you are a kid yet, you can rest assured that, you have a friend forever. Undoubtedly, it has been your shoulder when you were moved to tears and your companion on those lonely nights when you wished you could fade away into the dark. My, oh my what would we have done without our faithful friend, Mr. Bear?
How Teddy got its name? Well, a Teddy Bear as we now so affectionately know it, got its name from former United States President Theodore Roosevelt who was nicknamed 'Teddy'.
Stuffed with soft white cotton and layered with equally soft and smooth fur, the teddy bear is much more than just a soft toy. Besides, you would agree when I say, what's not to love in a teddy bear, right? It is true that a name gives us our true identity, and it is solely the reason why our furry friends need a name too. Naming our cuddly friend not only gives it an identity but also confirms that it is an external extension of ourselves. Well to say the least, naming a teddy bear makes it a part of the family and most importantly makes it yours forever.
