Some Home Remedies Make a paste using ginger root and salt. All you have to do is massage the paste gently on the gums several times in a day. Bring some water to boil and squeeze in the juice of some freshly cut lemons. Use this mixture to gargle at least twice a day. This would not only reduce the soreness, but would get rid of any bad breath, as well. A paste made out of castor seeds and camphor, also does well in managing the condition. Use this mixture to massage your gums once in the morning and in the evening. Regular use will reduce the soreness and improve health of your gums. Mix some salt in warm water and move it in your mouth for several times. This acts an immediate relief for pain and irritation. many dental problems can be kept at bay by following a few self-care measures at home. Make it a point to brush twice a day. It is advisable to use a soft bristled toothbrush. Brushing after every meal would be the best thing to do, although it is not always possible. Do not ignore the importance of flossing. It helps to get rid of those food particles and bacteria which brushing is unable to. It is also important to gargle after every meal and so is paying visits to your dentist every 6-12 months.
