Rice Pudding Calories

Depending on the ingredients used in the pudding, the total number of calories will vary. Read the Buzzle article to find information on how many calories a rice pudding contains.

Rice pudding is a dessert made with rice and milk, or water, along with a few more ingredients. Counting the Calories The total amount of calories in this dessert will depend on the ingredients you choose to add in it. And since everyone has different recipes that they follow, calculating the total number of calories can become tough. So what you should concentrate on are the ingredients which you use in the recipe itself. According to their quantities, you can add the calories of all the ingredients, and then figure out the total calories. Now let's say you are making rice pudding for 4, and are making it with butter, low-fat milk, bowl of rice, and sugar―the recipe has about 290 calories. On the other hand, if you use sugar substitute instead of castor sugar, 2% reduced-fat milk instead of whole milk, and low-fat butter instead of butter, then the calories will reduce considerably; around 102 calories. And if you add ½ cup of raisins in, the calories will then be about 193.
