Paper towel rolls crafts are the best way to convert waste material into a useful craft. Making such paper crafts is a wonderful method of promoting recycling household waste. Candles, puppets, pencil holders, etc., are some of the ideas that can be tried out. Cute Little Chicken This is a very simple craft that can be used as a pen or pencil stand. The material required for this craft are:

• Wiggly eyes
• Yellow colored craft paper
• Glue

Procedure: First, take a plain white paper and draw the wings, feet, and beak of the chicken. Cut these parts with the help of a pair of scissors, and color them yellow, brown, and red respectively. Now, keep them aside and take the yellow craft paper. Cut the paper to roll it over the toilet paper roll. Glue this paper to the cardboard roll, and mark the position to stick the wings, feet, and beak. Paste these parts at their respective positions. Mark two circles for the eyes and glue wiggly eyes in those circles. Take a cardboard paper and cut it into a solid circle that will set to the base of the toilet paper roll. Paste this circular cardboard to its base. Use sparkle colors and artificial feathers to decorate the pen/pencil stand. Robot This one is more simple to do. The material required to make this robot are:

• Pipe cleaners (2)
• Toilet paper roll
• Scissors
• Glue
• Aluminum foil
• Wiggly eyes
• Color pens/Crayons
• Stapler
• Construction papers - Blue, Red and Yellow

Procedure: Take the aluminum foil and cut it to a size such that it will completely wrap the toilet paper tube. Once you cut the aluminum foil, glue it to the toilet paper roll properly. Tuck on the excess foil into the tube's ends. Now take the construction papers to prepare the different parts of the robot's body. Some of the parts can be―rectangular face, control panel, switches, etc. To prepare the control panel, cut the blue construction paper in a square shape. The length of the square should be a bit less than the diameter of the toilet paper roll. Then draw small black dots on this paper to form a matrix of 3 x 3. These black dots can be treated as buttons of the control panel. Use the red and yellow construction papers to prepare the square-shaped face of the robot. Glue two wiggly eyes to this face. Then staple two pipe cleaners at the top of the toilet paper to make the antennas of the robot. Your robot made of paper towel roll is ready. Do not throw away leftover cardboard rolls of toilet paper. Use the ideas and prepare a unique craft out of them. You can also use these rolls to make crafts for Halloween or Christmas.
