Imagine losing your calm over people whom you hate to meet daily and some love to be mean and nasty with you for reasons unknown. We will always come across not-so-nice people every once in a while, that's life. So how do we deal with such people?... simply by killing them with kindness, the trick is to take away their power of inflicting hurt or pain by being extremely kind towards them. Mean people cannot fight back against random, unaccountable kindness. Kill Them With Kindness: means to be overtly kind to someone by using excessive flattery and spoiling them with overindulgence. The phrase or expression probably originated from the English proverb The ape kills her young with kindness which was popular during the mid-1500s. This meant that the ape presumptively kills its young by crushing it hard while giving it a hug. For him 'killing with kindness' necessitates impoverishing Kate of food and sleep for a point of time, until she submits to being an obedient wife. Petrucio is like the ape smothering Kate with irresistibly belligerent act that he claims to be love. Bible endlessly instructs to love thy neighbor and be the good Samaritan in doing so one will invite the blessings of the Lord in his life. 'Heap coals of fire upon his head' here means if one continues to do good for those who persecute they will finally feel ashamed of inflicting you with hurt and pain.
