How to Cook Ribs

Ribs are available in many varieties, and can be cooked in many ways. This article provides some rib recipes that you can try at home.

Make sure that you keep them in a food-safe plastic bag, and/or any glassware or ceramic container, and store them in the refrigerator. Secondly, avoid using any metal containers, and also never use any thick marinades. Lastly, always baste them a few minutes before you start grilling them. Ingredients
  • Beef back ribs - 5 lb slab
  • Green onions - 1 bunch
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger (ground) - ¾ tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - ⅓ cup
Procedure Cut the meat into pieces, and keep it aside in a glass dish. Prepare the marinade by mixing the soy sauce, ground ginger, and apple cider vinegar, together. Coat the ribs evenly with this marinade and place them in the refrigerator overnight. Do not forget to turn them over to the other side, once. Prepare the grill (any coal or gas grill), and preheat it. Place the grill rack at least 4 inches away from the coal. Place the meat pieces on the rack, and grill them for at least 20 minutes on each side. Mix the honey with the remaining marinade, and brush it well on all sides of the meat. Grill each side for 10 minutes more, and serve by sprinkling the green onion sprigs on top. Rib Eye Steak Rib eye steak is the beef steak that is taken from the rib region, and sits just above the prime rib of the beef.   • Butter - 1 ounce
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Freshly ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon

Procedure Heat a skillet, and add half of the butter and olive oil to it. Sprinkle the salt, ground black pepper, and garlic powder on it, and leave it on the heat for 2 minutes. Place the steak pieces in it, and arrange them in such a way that the fatty edges of the beef are in the middle of the pan. Cook them for 2 minutes on each side, and remove them from the pan. Place the pieces on a warm plate, and let them rest for 5 minutes. Add ½ a quart of water in the same skillet, along with the remaining butter and the vinegar. Heat it for a few minutes, and pour it on top of the steak. You can also add some chopped onion and mushrooms to it. Procedure As rib roast is delectable in itself, it doesn't require much seasoning. Separate the meat from the ribs, so that you can have the boneless beef as well as the ribs. Procedure Place the baby back ribs on an aluminum foil or cookie sheet. Sprinkle the salt and freshly ground black pepper on all sides of the pieces. Cut them in the size you want. Then, broil them in the oven for about 15 minutes. Till that time, prepare the crock pot by using a crock pot lining. Prepare a layer of the onion slices and garlic powder, at the bottom of the pot.
