  • Frozen meatballs, thawed, 1 package
  • Chili sauce, 1 jar, 12 oz.
  • Grape jelly, 1 jar, 10 oz.
  • Water, as needed
  • Salt and black pepper, for taste
Directions Preheat the oven at 350ºF. Place the meatballs in a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Place in the oven (middle rack), and cook for about half hour. As the meatballs are cooking, take a pot and add the grape jelly, chili sauce, salt, black pepper, and water in. Bring it to boil, and let the sauce thicken. Add the cooked meatballs in it and mix everything properly. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Once ready, serve hot. Sweet and Sour Meatballs Ingredients
  • Beef, ground, 2 lb.
  • Chili sauce, 1 can
  • Grape jelly, 1 cup
  • Lemon juice, 2 teaspoons
  • Egg, 1
  • Onion, chopped, 1
  • Salt and black pepper, for taste
  • Water, as needed
Directions Take a large bowl to mix the ground beef, egg, chopped onion, salt, and black pepper. Combine thoroughly and make meatballs; size will vary on your preference. Now in a deep pan, add water, chili sauce, lemon juice, and grape jelly. Add the meatballs next, and cook till the meatballs are ready. As soon as they are cooked, serve the meatballs immediately.   • Beef, ground, 1 lb.
  • Breadcrumbs, ½ cup
  • Onion, minced, ⅓ cup
  • Milk, ¼ cup
  • Vegetable shortening, ¼ cup
  • Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons
  • Parsley, chopped, 1 tablespoon
  • Egg, beaten, 1
  • Salt and black pepper, for taste
Ingredients for Sauce
  • Chili sauce, 1 bottle, 12 oz.
  • Grape jelly, 1 jar, 10 oz.
Directions In a bowl, mix all the ingredients, except for the vegetable shortening. Scoop out the mixture to make meatballs, size depending on your preference. Pour vegetable shortening in a deep skillet and brown the meatballs on medium heat. Drain the meatballs on some paper towels, and go on to make the sauce. In a pan, combine chili sauce and grape jelly. Stir the ingredients till the jelly has melted. Add the cooked meatballs and simmer for about 30 minutes. Keep stirring till the sauce has thickened. Serve the meatballs on a platter with toothpicks.
