Non-alcoholic Drinks
Horchata
Ingredients Water, 3 cups Milk, 1 cup Washed white rice grains, 1 cup Powdered cinnamon, 1 tablespoon Sugar, 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon Directions Blend the rice grains thoroughly into a powder. Then, in a bowl, add 3 cups of water and soak the rice powder and cinnamon powder for around 3 hours at room temperature. Now put this mixture into the blender again, and make a fine and soft puree. Once done, strain this mixture through a cheesecloth and separate the water and the rice puree. Transfer this water into a pitcher, and stir in milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Serve chilled. You can also garnish the drink with a zest of lime.
Sangrita
Ingredients Tomato juice, 2 cups Pulpy orange juice, 1 cup Grenadine, 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce, 5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 3 teaspoons Hot sauce, 1 teaspoon Kosher salt, pinch Powdered pepper, to taste Directions In a huge bowl, add all the ingredients and stir well. Refrigerate for around 3 hours and serve.
Latin Limeade
Ingredients Crushed ice, 4 cups Cold water, 2 cups Lime juice, 1 cup Brown sugar, 4 tablespoons Directions Mix together the sugar, lime juice, and cold water. Then add crushed ice to it and stir again. Serve chilled.
Mango Agua Fresca
Ingredients Water, 4 cups Mangoes, 2 Sugar, ¼ cup Lemon juice, 2 teaspoons Ice Directions Blend together water and mangoes in a blender. Then with a help of a cheesecloth, strain out the pulp of the mangoes. (You do not have to use the pulp for this drink.) In the strained liquid, add sugar and lemon juice. Serve chilled and enjoy.
Alcoholic Drinks
Sangria
Ingredients Red wine, 1 liter Brandy, 30 ml Sugar, 50 g Peaches, 3 Oranges, 2 Lemon, ½ Orange juice, 1 glass Lemon juice, ½ glass Directions Peel and cut the peaches into small pieces, and put them in a bowl of sugar and brandy. Leave the sliced fruits to marinade in the brandy-sugar mixture for about 3 to 4 hours. Then transfer this content into a huge jug. Fill the jug with red wine, orange juice, and lemon juice. Stir all the ingredients well and refrigerate for 2 hours, then serve.
Frozen Barcelona
Ingredients Crushed ice, 2 cups Syrup, 1½ cup Brandy, 1 cup Sherry, 1 cup Orange liqueur, 1 cup Orange juice, 1 cup Cream, 2 tablespoons Directions Stir together the syrup, brandy, sherry, orange juice, crushed ice, and orange liqueur in a huge bowl. Blend these ingredients in a blender and then strain into a cocktail glass. Top it with cream, or garnish it with lemon zest or cinnamon powder according to your preference.
Agua de Valencia
Ingredients Cava, 700 ml Orange juice, 200 ml Gin, 50 ml Vodka, 50ml Sugar, to taste Directions Add the liqueurs and the orange juice in a jug and stir well. Then add cava to these liquids and stir again. Once you are done, add some sugar according to your preference and stir till the sugar dissolves. Refrigerate Agua de Valencia and serve chilled, garnished with your favorite fruit wedge.
Tinto de Verano
Ingredients Red wine, 2 cups Grapefruit soda, 2 cups Sweet vermouth, 1 cup Lemon wedge, 1 Directions In a lowball/rocks glass, stir together the red wine and sweet vermouth. Then add soda to it and serve chilled, garnished with the lemon wedge.
