Enthusiasm and Quotations About It

Enthusiasm needs pillars to stand on, or else it will implode, resulting in apathy. Finding your mission is the source of this quality. Is there a better mission than the one given by God? See what famous people have to say about it.

Enthusiasm, also called zeal, is the will to live, to be caught by the beauty and endless capacity of life, and to innovate, always hoping for the better. How to obtain it? Where is its source? W. Clement Stone gives a great answer to these questions: "When you discover your mission, you will feel its demand. It will fill you with enthusiasm and a burning desire to get to work on it." "The key that unlocks energy is desire. It's also the key to a long and interesting life. If we expect to create any drive, any real force within ourselves, we have to get excited." ― Earl Nightingale "Enthusiastic people experience life from the inside out." ― Nido Qubein "I prefer the errors of enthusiasm to the indifference of wisdom." ― Anatole France "I can't imagine a person becoming a success, who doesn't give this game of life everything he's got." ― Walter Cronkite "There never was a winner who didn't expect to win in advance." ― Denis Waitley "An attitude of positive expectation is the mark of the superior personality." ― Brian Tracy "Don't join an easy crowd; you won't grow. Go where the expectations and the demands to perform are high." ― Jim Rohn "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." ― Ralph Waldo Emerson "Courage is going from failure to failure, without losing enthusiasm." ― Winston Churchill "For every sale you miss because you're too enthusiastic, you will miss a hundred because you're not enthusiastic enough." ― Zig Ziglar "Enthusiasm is the most important thing in life." ― Tennessee Williams "Enthusiasm is the greatest asset in the world. It beats money, power, and influence." ― Henry Chester "A man can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm." ― Charles M. Schwab "Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul." ― Samuel Ullman "Enthusiasm is that secret and harmonious spirit which hovers over the production of genius." ― Isaac Disraeli "Enthusiasm is the leaping lightning, not to be measured by the horse-power of understanding." ― Ralph Waldo Emerson "To waken interest and kindle enthusiasm is the sure way to teach easily and successfully." ― Tryon Edwards "The condition of the most passionate enthusiast is to be preferred over the individual who, because of the fear of making a mistake, won't in the end affirm or deny anything." ― Thomas Carlyle "Enthusiasm is a vital element towards the individual success of every man or woman." ― Conrad Hilton "In things pertaining to enthusiasm, no man is sane who does not know how to be insane on proper occasions." ― Henry Ward Beecher "Catch on fire with enthusiasm, and people will come for miles to watch you burn." ― John Wesley "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working, nor planning, nor knowledge, nor wisdom." Ecclesiast 9:10 "In your majesty, ride forth victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness" Psalm 45:4 The earlier you discover your mission, the better, because you'll live life with zeal. But how can you discover your mission? The most influential personality in the history of humankind is Jesus Christ; His enthusiasm for God is still burning in His followers today. That is due to His Holy Spirit, and because He has all the power in Heaven and Earth; God gave it to Him. His great mission to the people is this: "Go into all the world, and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name, they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands, and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and those people will get well." "After the Lord Jesus had thus spoken, he was taken up into heaven, and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his words by the signs that accompanied it." Mark 16:15-20 Do you see the source of enthusiasm now? God and His people are full of it. This call for mission applies to all. Show zeal for life, for God and His truth.
