Difficulty Waking Up

Do you find it difficult waking up in the morning? Do you find yourself hitting the snooze button when your alarm rings to wake up in the morning each time? Well, keep reading for a solution.

After years of research, finally scientists have discovered how much sleep an average person requires. And it is those extra 5 minutes! Come on, don't we all want that warmth and coziness of our cover. Getting out of that comfortable bed is not a very pleasant thought. We always want those extra 5 minutes. In the meanwhile, there is a debate going on between two voices in your mind, one is the white angel and the other is the black angel. So, you have that small little white angel saying "wake up it is late, you must hit the gym and then get going to the office or school". Then you move your legs a little bit trying to wake up, hmmm... you say to yourself, but the next moment the black angel appears and says 5 minutes, another five minutes wouldn't get you late. Like a fool you agree to her and sleep off. After some time, the white angel appears again and says wake up, you are already late for the gym, just then quickly the black angel says you're already late, might as well sleep, and yet again you fall prey to her talks and scooth... scooth... zzzzzz. Now finally there is a loud shout (it would be your wife or your mom or your dad) WAKE UP! Will you... whoa! That was a loud one, she is really upset, so you manage to get yourself out of bed and look at the watch. Once you look at the watch, then all the activities are performed in the fast forward mode. You finally manage to reach office just in time or manage to get your school bus. Most of us surely follow the same kind of pattern, don't we, it may not be the exactly same, but somewhat! Difficulty waking up in the morning is a clear sign of laziness, unless you are diagnosed of any disorder like sleep apnea or so on. And if you are diagnosed with such disorders, make sure you treat yourself with effective medications. Most of these sleep disorders are often treatable, but not cured fully. Unfortunately, the time frame standardizes the world, and hence, making it complicated for people with sleep disorders to survive the competition here. Well, then adapt yourself to the problem and act wise. For example, if your job requires you to wake up in the morning at 8, and you just can't do it, go get yourself a new job which lets you work from noon to night. Although it's easier said than done, if you are a night owl, you have to get your share of sleep during the morning hours. Only then will your body work efficiently and you will be able to give your job the best. Overcoming Extreme Difficulty Waking Up in the Morning
  • If the root cause of the above problem is laziness, help yourself. Brush up your willpower, promise yourself you will wake up at the right time, and follow the routine sincerely everyday.
  • Get a loud harsh alarm to wake you up everyday. Where you place this alarm is important, always place it a little away from your sleeping area, so that when it rings, you have to get up and reach the alarm to switch it off, which ultimately gets you out of the bed.
  • You can also have a vibrating alarm under your pillow or mattress. It surely causes one to wake up and switch it off.
  • You can also ask someone to help you. Like ask your mom, wife or whoever you share the apartment with, to wake you, and make sure to wake you until you get out of the bed. In this act, you cannot be lazy and ask for 5 minutes more. If that is the case, they would not want to wake you up the next time.
  • Go to sleep with the curtains and the room door open, so that when it is morning, the room is bright. This will help you wake up for sure.
  • You may get 8 hours sleep, but the quality of sleep matters. Reduce the factors that may cause disturbed sleep.
    • Get a comfortable bed.
    • Invest in a good pillow, trust me it works in the long run, and besides, helps you with a good night's sleep.
    • Refrain from alcohol, chocolates or caffeine content drinks before going to bed.
    • You can also hit the gym or exercise a few hours before going to sleep. This works, as you get tired and tend to sleep as soon as you fall on your bed, being able to wake up fresh next morning.
Well, not a very good thing, but most of us live by it. Let's get ourselves disciplined and live by the thought "early to bed early to rise makes a man healthy wealthy and wise".
