Desserts are enjoyed by people of all ages, and more so by kids, as they usually get excited when it comes to cookies, cakes, fudges, etc.

For most people, desserts are the most awaited part of a meal. Nothing can be more rewarding than having a slice of your favorite chocolate cake or a dish of banana pudding after dinner. But with the increasing health related problems, parents have become extremely careful regarding their children's health, and hence avoid serving them dishes that are very sugary or filled with unnecessary calories. But a healthy meal or lifestyle doesn't mean you should deprive your kid of delicious desserts and sweets. Apple Cranberry Cobbler Ingredients
  • ¾ cup, flour
  • 5 cups, sliced peeled apples or pears
  • 1 cup, cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons, sugar
  • 3 tablespoons, tapioca
  • ½ teaspoon, ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons, butter or margarine
  • 1¼ cups, sugar
  • 1 teaspoon, baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons, milk
  • ¼ cup, butter or margarine
  • 1 cup, water
  • 1/8 teaspoon, salt
Directions Preheat the oven at 375 °F. Take a large saucepan and mix apples, 1¼ cups sugar, cranberries, tapioca, cinnamon, and water in it; allow it to stand for 5-7 minutes. Stir continuously and cook the mixture on medium heat until it comes to a boil. Pour the mixture into a 2-quart baking dish and add 2 tablespoons of butter. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add ¼ cup butter to it and mix well till the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Now, put milk and stir constantly until soft dough forms. Drop this dough onto the hot apple mixture and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown. Serve warm with whipped topping. Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients
  • 2 cups, semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2½ cups, all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup, peanut butter
  • ½ cup, butter
  • ½ cup, white sugar
  • 1 cup, brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons, light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon, baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons, vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon, salt
  • 2 tablespoons, water
Directions In a large bowl, add cream butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Add eggs, corn syrup, water, and vanilla essence to it and mix well. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt, and put into the creamed mixture. Add chocolate chips to it and mix well. With the help a spoon, drop the mixture on a cookie sheet 2-3 inches apart and give it a desired cookie shape. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 375 °F and serve. Blueberry Crumb Pie Ingredients
  • 1 (9-inch) frozen pie crust, thawed as per the package directions
  • 2 tablespoons, lemon juice
  • 4 cups, fresh blueberries
  • 2/3 cup, sugar
  • 3 tablespoons, cornstarch
  • Zest of 1 lemon
Crumb Topping:
  • ½ cup, all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup, firmly-packed brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons, butter
  • ½ teaspoon, ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup, rolled oats
Directions Preheat the oven at 375 °F. In a large bowl, put sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Add blueberries to it and toss gently. Now, pour the blueberry mixture on to the pie crust. Take a small bowl and stir together oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add butter to it, mix well until the mixture becomes crumbly and spread over the blueberries in the pie. Transfer the blueberry pie on a baking sheet and bake for 40-50 minutes until pie crust turns golden brown. Before cutting, allow the pie to rest for 15-20 minutes and then serve. Dessert Pizza Ingredients
  • Sugar cookie dough crust
  • 3 cups, sliced fruits (raspberries, strawberries, oranges, pineapples, peaches, and blueberries)
  • 8 oz. package of cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup, of confectioners sugar
Directions Spread the cookie dough on a greased pizza pan and bake it. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, and confectioners sugar. Spread this mixture on the cookie dough crust and top with sliced fruits. Slice the cookie dough crust into wedges just like a pizza and serve.
